This photo series is composed by panoramas, most of which captured with the aid of a panoramic head. The idea here is to present Barcelona, the magic city, in a magic way.
Fitting as much detail inside the frame as possible without loosing aesthetical balance is one of the main goals of this project. This task, which happens to be extremely challenging from a compositional point of view, is also quite difficult regarding the technical methods. From the moment I arrive in the scene until the final artwork is generated, countless actions must be performed with precision, defining a workflow that, as far as my photography experience is concerned, is considerably complex.
The final results seen in the majority of the images of this series couldn’t be archived without the aid of PTGui, a software specialized in stitching panoramas, in which advanced parametrizations of the merging projections can be done.
